Could you please do a minor tweak to the OCLB Helper description?

The button is now in the bottom right, and is unlikely to move from there (It was interfering with UI elements at the bottom left, but it in mostly free pace at the right.

Thanks

Just dropping an idea for a new very helpful script:

Automatically generate a list of usernames from the native random deviant function.
80 usernames should do the trick (in ideal situations), which is just above the llama pool of maximum llamas that can be given after a while not having given llamas.
The script could even be programmed to work in conjunction with the One Click Llama Button (and Helper), such that only usernames are presented for deviants who have not yet received a Llama from you.

Please let me know who to spam this to in case this isn't the place!

This is definitely the place! I know people in the llama business. I have connections. :giggle:

dAbot can give llamas to random people. DonKoopa was able to configure it to give a llama every 1.5 minutes.

I have a lot of experience giving llamas to randomly generated people. This method not only got me fewer llamas in return, but also a lot more hate and confusion in my comments.
When using dAbot I give llamas to those with favorable stats. They have given more llamas than received. I could never go back to giving to purely random deviants.

oh i haven't tweaked the code or anything, i just did some calculations based on what the bot was capable of doing.
dAbot is able to give 20 llamas after waiting for 30 minutes because of hitting the spam limit.
20 llamas/30 minutes = 30/20 = 1.5 minutes per llama (or 0.66 llamas per minute).

I can second the experiences with the "llama give random deviants" command though, lots of people spamming "Thank you"-comments on your profile or wherever they want else (like my gallery for some reason or via notes [the notes were mostly asking what the llama was for]).
After switching to the "llama give random exchangers" command, which is basically the same as the previous one with the exception that it does check the random user's llama stats before considering giving it a llama (they're required to have given more llamas than they've received), i could see way more llamas getting returned than before (because surely the chance that someone returns a llama is higher if the person actually gave more than he received).

The only problem i'm currently dealing with is that the script tends to die for some reason after running for multiple days...
Also since the amount of "exchangers" to give llamas to will obviously decrease over the time, it'll take more time to find some, hence why i'm actually running the script 4 times parallely to be able to get close to the spam limit.
There's an issue over at the Github repo of dAbot and Kishan is aware of that fact. He already had an idea to make things a bit faster, but we'll see when he gets around to making improvements...

I get what you meant now. This explanation helps a lot.

I had to link a faq explaining why I give llamas. A lot of time people comment without reading anything on my profile. I've had to respond to many comments with the faq link.

It dies on me a lot too. Not to mention dA's updates which breaks it.

My laptop can only handle two running at the same time. I only run it when I'm using my computer.

If he takes to long, just remind him again. I'm personally a friend of Kishan and I know he isn't very interested in dA development anymore. That's why he put the bot of GitHub, so other people could improve it if they want.

Oh that's very interesting! I didn't know dAbot was capable of such specific ways of giving Llama's.

Guess I'll have to figure out how to install the bot then ;P

i did take another look at my script and it turned out that deviantArt's switch to HTTPS actually made my script stop working.
I updated it and also added a bit of a visual indicator in the window title to show if it is cooling down from the spam limit or working (showing Play and Stop Symbol including the remaining waiting time)
I also tweaked the numbers a bit:
The script will try to give a llama every 10 seconds and in case it hits the spam limit, it'll wait 15 minutes.
I also added a tag to the metadata so it theoretically should automatically update the script in case i do any changes to it.

You also need to have the One Click Llama Button Script installed

It still doesn't seem to work. Perhaps I'm doing something wrong. I have the OLCB installed, I restarted my browser, checked everything in my scripts - your script doesn't even appear on DA, despite being installed and re-installed a couple of times. :(

I just installed the script on another computer and it runs just fine.
Can you tell me the version of the script? it should be 1.1 gist.github.com/Koopzington/a1…
If Tampermonkey/Greasemonkey show a 1.0 then something must've gone wrong while re-installing the script.

Edit: I tested the script in Firefox and it apparently went haywire, going through the pages before OCLB was even finished loading.
I updated the script again to 1.2, hopefully making it work for you now.

After running Kishan's dAbot for quite some time now i've collected the following numbers:
You generate a llama to give every 1.5 minutes.
The maximum pool size of llamas to give is 70.
Therefore the pool reaches it's maximum after 1 hour and 45 minutes.
If your continuously give llamas you can give 40 llamas per hour, 960 llamas per day, 6720 llamas per week and 350k llamas per year :P

The only piece of this I've noticed on my own is being able to give around 70 at a time.
I don't know how to configure dAbot to give llamas at different intervals.

a user can only receive one llama from the same person. This is the reason why it is so hard to reach 100k llamas. You actually have to get 100k llamas from 100k different users! Ridiculous number, right?
I myself however have given 122k different users a llama so far... which sounds even more ridiculous xD

Go through any active user's badges and look for who has been returning their llamas recently. Then go to those people and do the same thing. A nice thing about this method is you will not find anyone using this method who has not been giving them out recently. I know very little about bots and am not sure how easy it would be to program one to do this. Users who return llamas quickly are the ones I am most likely to spot using this method.

I have done this method, but in the vein of going through all badges the individual has sent and gotten. I have never thought about just going through the first few, though. I may try it sometime. :)

I think I might use different methods if there were no spam filter. I do not have access to bots, but with  One Click Llama Button by Kishan-Bagaria  and no spam filter I could have given a llama to everyone who is a member of any of the groups, or on any of the trading lists, or has that button or  Llama Giving Game by NAkos  or  Llama Giving Game 2 by NAkos  in their favorites and a whole bunch of other people a llama the day I installed the tool.

I've had a play with the mass-click code

You can run this:

$('.oclb-give').slice(0,10).click()

to click the first 10 buttons. You can then run that over and over.

One I'm working on at the moment is this:
for (i = 0; i < 10; i++) { setTimeout(function(){$('.oclb-give').slice(0,1).click()}, 1000 * i); }

This makes it do 10 llamas, one at a time, every second.

You can tweak it:
for (i = 0; i < 50; i++) { setTimeout(function(){$('.oclb-give').slice(0,3).click()}, 500 * i); }

This will run 50 times, every time giving three llamas, every half a second

UPDATE

for (i = 0; i < 10; i++) {  setTimeout(function(){    if ($('.oclb-spam').size() == 0) {      $('.oclb-give').slice(0,1).click()    }  }, 1000 * i)}

This will make it run every second, giving one llama each time round, ten times.
If there is a spam button displayed it will not attempt to give a llama.

is there an option to give 9 llamas every 5 minutes?
Reply
:iconhampshirebrony:
HampshireBrony Featured By Owner Aug 29, 2017
That is oddly specific.

In theory, this would do that:

for (i = 0; i < 9; i++) {  setTimeout(function(){    if ($('.oclb-spam').size() == 0) {      $('.oclb-give').slice(0,1).click()    }  }, 5 * 60 * 1000 / 9 * i)}

5 minutes * 60 seconds in a minute * 1000 milliseconds in a minute / evenly spaced to do it nine times
